While Noku was a beautiful place to stay, the quality of the service provided did not meet what a 5 star hotel should pr
The view from the villa was amazing! Also the pool was bigger than I had expected, as was the room. In addition, we rarely saw any mosquitoes (just cute geckos), which was a huge plus.
To be honest, with the hotel being 5 stars, I had higher expectations. When I first saw the shower, I was blown away with how beautiful it was. However, the water drained very slowly (to the point I’m standing in soapy water) and the pressure was not very strong. The quality of the mattress was poor (compared to other 4 star properties). Our one dining experience at the Embrace was disappointing. First the drinks we ordered never came; thus after our entree had arrived, I just requested to have it removed from our bill (which they apologized by providing complimentary juice). But the quality of the food was poor. In another instance, we had ordered the floating breakfast and when we returned that night, the plates/dishes were still left by the pool. There wasn’t direction given to call the desk/anybody to have it picked up so we assumed it would get picked up when the room was cleaned. On top of that, each day something wasn’t stocked up by housekeeping (whether it was the mini fridge (that we hardly drank) or toiletries). If this had been a 3 star hotel, many of these details could have been overlooked.. so it was little disappointing.

Great view, staff and food
The stay was great at the upper hills close to old town, Great Buddha and Wat Chalong temple. We stayed at a villa with private pool. The room is well facilitated. Roomservice with food was great and tastes was very well. With Grab taxi many spots can be reached easily.
We stayed in room H11. During midnight there was a continuous water pumping sound in the walls every day. We believe this belongs to the pool cleaning system and can be heard loudly. Breakfast options are limited and restaurant does not serve lunch. The hotel is remote located from city center and other restaurants in close by neighborhood. With the relaxing and quiet environment I would suggest lunch options in restaurant for guest staying at the hotel.
